Baahubali 2 box-office collection day 9: SS Rajamouli's epic on way to make Rs 1000cr

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, directed by SS Rajamouli, and starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty is on its way to cross the Rs 1000-crore mark worldwide.

After beating Dangal to become the highest-grossing Indian film of all time, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has set a new box-office target for itself now... the Rs 1000-crore mark.
Made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, the SS Rajamouli epic has earned Rs 860 crore in gross (nett + taxes) box office collections in the first week itself.

Within India itself, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion's nett. box office collection at the end of the first week was Rs 534 crore making it the biggest Indian blockbuster of all time.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is a sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. The first film had grossed Rs 650 crore off a Rs 180 crore-budget. After the first Baahubali film became a pan-Indian phenomenon, all eyes were on the sequel inevitably.

And Baahubali 2 has not dissapointed. The film began to make records from the first day of its release itself. Released in four languages; Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion earned a whopping Rs 121 crore on April 28, the day of its release. This is the maximum amount of money any Indian film has made in India on its first day.

That's not all. Just the Hindi version of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion earned Rs 128 crore in its first three days leaving behind Dangal and Sultan's records far behind.

Now the countdown has begun for Baahubali 2 to become the first ever film to make Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
