‘Hello...First Time I Saw Naked Lady,’ This Actress Stripped Completely Naked On Stage In Her Bold Act ‘Thoda Dhyan Se’

She appears on stage that is littered with all sorts of clothing - shorts, scarves, slips, skirts, pants and saarees – completely naked and stands there for minutes to establish her state of vulnerability and state of undress and she launches into her monologue. 

“Thoda dhyan se rehena chahiye, aapko pata hai na zamana kharab hai? Jab aapko pata hai zamana kharab hai to thoda dhyan se bas.(You should be a little careful, you know that the world is a bad place, right? When you know the world is a bad place, then just be a little careful, that’s all.”)

 

She ‘cautions’ women who dare to go about their lives the way they see fit.  

 

Mallika Taneja has been travelling all over India and the globe with her short act Thoda Dhyan Se (Be Careful), a satirical piece that attacks the victim blaming in molestation and rape cases

 

It also challenges this notion of safety that if women dressed a certain way, they won’t be raped.

 

However, considering the subject matter, the bolder act is played for a limited audience.

 

 

“Hello sister, first time I saw naked lady,” 

 

This message she received after the act, summed the response of a confused male who has yet to come to terms with a modern woman and the way she chose to live her life.
